ABOUT MANNER & TRUST
What sets us apart, and why you can order with confidence
Every Manner piece is handcrafted 925 sterling silver, made one at a time in our Jaipur workshop rather than mass-produced. Our signature is transparent meenakari — plique-à-jour enamel work where light passes through the piece like stained glass — combined with hand-carved gemstones and a design philosophy led personally by a trained gemologist, not a factory catalogue.
Manner creates 925 sterling silver jewelry with transparent meenakari enamel — bracelets, cufflinks, sherwani and kurta buttons, lapel pins, and bespoke pieces for weddings, gifting, and everyday wear. Every piece is handcrafted in our workshop in Jaipur, Rajasthan, the historic home of Indian jewelry craft.
Swati's journey as an artist began young — she was drawing before she could write, and went on to train in fine arts, pottery, and papermaking before choosing jewelry as her focus. She's a gold medalist from the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), specializing in accessory and lifestyle design with jewelry, and in 2012 became a certified diamond grader from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), trained by masters in Jaipur. After 12 years working with renowned names in the industry, she founded Manner — built on her love for art, Jaipur, and jewelry, designing handmade pieces meant to become part of the stories of the people who wear them.
Yes. Every piece is stamped with the Manner name and 925, confirming its sterling silver purity, and comes with an authenticity certificate. Each piece is handcrafted one at a time in our Jaipur workshop by expert karigars — not mass-produced — and if you'd like more assurance before ordering, our team is always available for consultation, enquiries, and video calls to walk you through the piece in detail.
Manner pieces are available through select curated boutiques in Jaipur, Goa and Dubai, as well as on leading luxury fashion platforms. Visit our blog for our full stockist guide.
RAKSHA BANDHAN GIFTING
Choosing, sizing, ordering, and delivering the perfect Rakhi gift
Yes. A handcrafted 925 silver piece — like our Rakhi bracelet — is a lasting alternative to a rakhi thread. Unlike the thread, it stays with him well beyond the festival, and each piece carries a protective coating that keeps it tarnish-free longer. For best results, avoid contact with water, perfume, chemicals, and intense workouts.
The best choice depends on his lifestyle and profession — cufflinks work well for someone who dresses up often, but they're equally suited to anyone who appreciates a considered accessory, not just formal wear. Lapel pins are especially versatile, moving easily between a suit, a bandhgala, or a simpler jacket. Even if he doesn't usually accessorize, a well-chosen piece can become the start of his own personal collection. If you're unsure what would suit him best, you can reach out for a free consultation — we're happy to help you choose.
For a younger brother, look at pieces with a bit more edge — the Untamed chain, a Kada bracelet, the Horse lapel pin, or Panther Untamed cufflinks all bring personality without feeling too formal for his age or lifestyle.
A lapel pin paired with a silk pocket square makes a strong combo under ₹10,000 — versatile, wearable across occasions, and a great starting gift for a younger brother building his first collection.
Start with something he'll actually reach for — a lapel pin or pocket square introduces him to accessorizing without asking him to change his style, since even the simplest piece is designed to carry meaning, not just sit as an accessory.
Yes — Manner's bracelet and earring collections make a natural return gift, keeping the exchange within the same handcrafted, meenakari-enamel design language. We can also create a custom piece if you have something specific in mind for her.
The rakhi thread marks a sister's wish for her brother's wellbeing, and his promise to protect and support her in return — a symbol of the sibling bond renewed each year on Raksha Bandhan.
Yes — for bulk or corporate Rakhi gifting, reach out to us directly. Pricing is based on order quantity, following a structured tier system, and we're happy to share price sheets and catalogs on request.
Manner bracelets come in 3 standard sizes. If you're unsure of his size, a photo of an existing bracelet or watch he wears against a ruler is usually enough to estimate the right fit.
Order by 10 August for personalized pieces and 17 August for in-stock pieces to guarantee delivery before Raksha Bandhan. Personalized pieces need extra time for engraving or custom detailing, so order a week earlier if you'd like a name or message added.
Every Rakhi bracelet is packaged in Manner's signature gift-ready presentation and shipped directly to your brother's address, timed to arrive in time for the ceremony itself — so the moment of tying the rakhi is met with a gift already there, not one still in transit. A personalized gift note travels with it at no charge, carrying your own words into that moment even when distance keeps you apart. Domestic shipping across India is free on every order. For international deliveries, shipping is insured and priced between ₹1,500–3,000 depending on destination.
As with all Manner pieces, exchanges are available within 48 hours of delivery for a manufacturing defect or if the wrong item was shipped — items must be unused, unworn, and unaltered, with photos sent to info@mannerindia.in. The Rakhi bracelet also carries an extended, sizing-specific exchange: since many pieces arrive closer to 28 August, you can request a size exchange up to 7 September. Depending on the design, resizing the original piece may be possible; otherwise it will be replaced with a new piece in the correct size.
THE CRAFT & MATERIALS
What goes into every handcrafted piece
Meenakari is an ancient Indian art form originating in Jaipur, Rajasthan, where artisans fuse colored enamel onto metal surfaces. At Manner, we specialise in plique-à-jour meenakari — a transparent enamel technique where light passes through the piece like a stained-glass window.
Meenakari is enamel work — colour fused onto metal with heat. Kundan is stone-setting — gemstones set into a gold foil base. The two are often paired in traditional Indian jewellery, but are two distinct crafts requiring different artisans and skills.
All Manner jewelry is crafted in 925 sterling silver — meaning 92.5% pure silver alloyed for strength and durability. Many pieces are finished with high-quality gold plating.
Each colour in meenakari is applied by hand and fired separately in a kiln — a piece with several colours can mean several firings, each one a chance for the enamel to crack or shift if the hand isn't steady. What goes into that isn't just skill, but an artisan's knowledge, patience, and perseverance, built over years and passed down through generations. No machine replicates that. The price reflects the time and craftsmanship behind it, not just the material.
Yes, and that's by design. Every Manner piece is handcrafted 925 sterling silver, made one at a time in our Jaipur workshop by expert karigars — not machine-stamped or mass-produced on an assembly line. Gemstones are hand-carved rather than laser-cut, and our signature transparent meenakari enamel is applied by hand, colour by colour, so subtle variations in texture, hue, and finish occur naturally from piece to piece. These aren't flaws to correct; they're the fingerprint of artisan craftsmanship, the same quality that separates a true heirloom piece from a factory-made accessory. If you're choosing a gift and want a specific look matched as closely as possible, our team can help guide that selection before you order.
Yes — lightweight wearability is a core design principle at Manner. Despite their detailed craftsmanship, our pieces are designed to be comfortable for all-day wear, making them ideal for long wedding celebrations, travel and festive events.
MEN'S ACCESSORIES
How cufflinks, kurta and sherwani buttons actually work
Cufflinks need a cuff with two open holes rather than a sewn-on button — you'll find this on French cuffs (which fold back on themselves, doubling the fabric) and convertible cuffs (which stay single-layered but include an extra buttonhole for a cufflink instead of a button). If your favourite shirt only has a standard button cuff, a tailor can add a buttonhole in its place, letting you wear cufflinks with a shirt you already own and love.
The decorative face — the side with the design or enamel work — always faces outward, away from your wrist, once fastened. The plain back sits against the inside of your cuff, holding it closed — and it's also where you can add a personal touch, like initials or a meaningful symbol, through our customization option.
Kurta buttons are a set of four small buttons, around 1 cm each, worn along the lapel of a kurta — some come with connecting chains, others sit independently. Sherwani buttons are considerably larger, around 2.2 cm, closer in scale to a blazer button, and are made for the torso of a bandhgala suit, achkan, or sherwani. A full set typically includes 5 or 7 buttons for the front and 6 for the sleeves.
Yes — Manner's sherwani buttons are designed for versatility, so the same set moves effortlessly across bandhgala jackets, Jodhpuri suits, achkans, and sherwanis of any fabric, colour, or length. A detachable ring at the back lets you fix or remove each button with ease, making it simple to restyle the same set for a different look entirely. While they're a natural fit for groom styling and wedding wear, sherwani buttons carry just as well into formal dinners, official ceremonies, and honorary occasions — any moment that calls for considered, festive dressing. Handcrafted in 925 silver, each set can feature transparent meenakari enamel, gemstones, or other finishes, and can be personalized to suit the occasion. This makes a single set a piece someone returns to again and again — exactly what makes it a gift that accompanies them well beyond the day it's given.
Yes — kurta buttons are removable, not meant to be stitched on. Each button can be easily fixed or detached from the kurta lapel using the button back, so the same set of four moves across kurtas of any fabric, colour, or length, rather than staying sewn to just one. This makes them equally suited to everyday festive wear, office-appropriate kurtas, and more elevated occasions alike. Handcrafted in 925 silver, kurta buttons can feature transparent meenakari enamel, gemstones, or other finishes, and can be personalized to suit the wearer. A set like this becomes a small, considered detail someone reaches for again and again — making it a thoughtful gift as much as an everyday accessory.
CUSTOMIZATION & BESPOKE
Making a piece entirely your own
Yes — bespoke design is at the heart of what we do. You are the centre of the design process. Together with Swati, you co-create a piece entirely unique to you — your story, your occasion, your vision. Book a private consultation to begin.
Yes — personalisation is available across select collections, including our Insignia range of bespoke cufflinks and men's accessories. Monograms, initials and custom motifs can be incorporated. Speak to us during a consultation to explore what is possible for your specific piece.
You can begin your custom order by booking a private consultation with Swati through our contact page, or by calling or WhatsApp-ing us at +91 9252919191. We offer both in-person consultations at our Jaipur studio and remote consultations for customers worldwide.
The bespoke journey starts with a conversation — we listen closely to your idea, the story behind it, and what you're hoping to create. From there, we shape a first interpretation of the design and share it back with you, refining it together until it feels completely right. In this process, you become part of the story of the piece itself. Once the design is finalized, production takes 3 to 4 weeks, during which your piece is handcrafted in our Jaipur workshop. We recommend beginning your custom order at least 6 weeks before your occasion.

CARE
Keeping your piece looking its best
Yes — every piece is designed to be light and comfortable enough for regular wear. Just a few habits help it stay looking its best: take it off before bathing, workouts, or rough domestic work or cleaning, where water, chemicals, and friction come into contact most.
Store your piece in the box or pouch provided, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Remove before swimming, bathing or applying perfume. Gently wipe with a soft dry cloth after wearing — think of it as part of the small rituals around the piece, the way you'd take off a ring before gardening, or set a bracelet aside before doing the dishes. Avoid contact with harsh chemicals, lotions or cleaning agents.
Every piece is finished with a protective coating that keeps the silver beneath from oxidizing, so tarnish is kept at bay far longer than untreated silver. That said, the coating is a layer, not a permanent shield — how long it lasts depends on how the piece is worn. Treated gently, it holds up for years; exposed often to water, perfume, or friction, it will wear down sooner. Think of it less as tarnish-proof and more as tarnish-resistant, built to last with a little care.
Our gold-plated pieces use a notably thick gold coating, built to outlast typical plating and hold its richness over time. As with any plated finish, gentle care extends its life further — avoiding water, perfume, and heavy friction keeps the gold looking full and even for years to come.
RETURNS, EXCHANGES & CANCELLATIONS
